Thanks to a crowdfunding project which started in January 2021, we have now reached our target of £5000 – which means we can now purchase a much-needed van.
We would like to thank to everyone who participated and donated from all across the Midlands and we even received one donation from Dubai – our cause is spreading! A special thanks to East Midlands Airport who donated a massive £2000 in response to our litter-picking exercise around the airport.
Plus a special thanks for the gentleman in Coalville who donated the final £273 to take the project to the £5000 target.
We now have ‘the’ van – you may recognise it on the collection rounds.
The next Crowdfunding project is to buy an ‘Electric Recycling Tricycle’ (trying saying that after a few cans) to enable us to collect from anyone who lives in central Leicester and wants to donate. We will also be collecting discarded cans in Leicester City Centre.
