The big articulated lorry trailer being loaned to Helipads For Hospitals is filling up.
On May 1 and 2, 2020 17 more one-tonne bags filled with aluminium cans were loaded. But the trailer is still less than half-full.
During the COVID lockdown, the cans are being collected only from places where they could cause a health hazard. One such place is the Big Red Bin at Glenmore Park, Shepshed. If the cans overflow, not only does it look unsightly, but the virus could live on the cans and spread the infection.
