Helipads for Hospitals has been gaining momentum in Lincolnshire, and — with the assistance of Ian Bland from South Kesteven District Council and Brenda Johnson, the former Mayoress of Bourne — have now added a ninth Big Red Bin for the collection of used aluminium cans.
The bin is located at the entrance to the Corn Exchange car park in the centre of Bourne. The address is 3 Abbey Rd, PE10 9EF.
Funds were raised by the efforts of keen supporters.
The charity is collecting aluminium; mainly drink cans; which are crushed and are then forwarded for smelting into ingots which will be transformed into a helipad for Air Ambulance helicopters.
